AIA, CEO | DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Fritz Embaugh
CEO and Director of Operations for Plus One Design|Construction – A Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Fritz Embaugh is a Licensed Architect and General Contractor living in Baton Rouge, LA. Prior to starting Plus One in 2005, Fritz enjoyed a varied career in the architecture and construction worlds. With experience that ranged from construction management to municipal business development, Fritz learned the building industry from a multitude of perspectives, solidifying his love for both architecture and construction. As a National AIA Award winning firm, Fritz and the Plus One team leverage both areas of expertise, to create smart, responsive design, while simultaneously ensuring it translates completely into the built form.
A graduate of the USMC School of Infantry, Embaugh is a decorated Gulf War Veteran. He graduated in the top 5 percent from Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton and has received several letters of commendation, meritorious promotions as well as campaign service awards.
Fritz is an active community member. Some highlights of his activities include serving as President of both AIA Baton Rouge and AIA Louisiana, as well as serving as a board member of Home Builders Association of GBR and Home Builders Association of Louisiana.
Fritz is an expert witness in construction and architectural litigation and represented the AIA in the 2024 legislative session to amend current architectural licensing law. He has served on the Louisiana Architecture Selection Board and the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board Architect Selection Board. Perhaps most proudly though, Fritz served for 15 years as a Boy Scout volunteer, including as Pack Leader and Eagle Project Leader.
Fritz, and his lovely wife Tia, have two children and a dog, and as one would expect from an architect/contractor Dad/husband – have lived happily in a construction zone for 21 years.
