Tia Embaugh

Vice President of Corporate Engagement for Plus One Design|Construction, Tia brings a myriad of experience and education to her work. As an Associate Architect, Tia has broadened her experience to include communications, marketing and development. With experience in the private, public and non-profit sectors Tia has earned the top standards in multiple industries including Accreditation in Public Relations, Certified Fundraising Executive, Master Trainer and Certified Grant Writer.

Leveraging her cross training and broad knowledge base, Tia marries her architectural training with her development skills to offer clients a holistic approach to not only the planning of their project but also the funding and public approval part of their project.

Additionally, as a former lobbyist and Chief of Staff for the LA DCFS, Tia offers a unique perspective into the state public funding process.

Actively involved in her community, Tia has helped lead multiple organizations including serving as President of Home Builders Association Foundation, Prevent Child Abuse LA, and the Governor’s Commission on Women.



Tia serves as a guest lecturer and instructor including engagements with Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations, Boston Colleges Center for Corporate Citizenship and LSU’s Social Engagement Program.
